Hello!
My name is Wardah. I'm a Toronto-Based Designer with a Degree in Bachelor's of Fine Arts.

Being a graphic designer is communicating and interacting with my viewer through various form of design. Design is unique in its own way and it is the designer’s job to bring their own uniqueness however they choose to do so. My designs show my own uniqueness and display contents that is authentic and creative while at the same time, being within the rules of designing. Through my design, I get to express different ideas and bring unique and meaningful content onto the plain field. Design allows me to voice my own opinion, feeling, criticism and express them clearly through my work. When it comes to designing, I can confidently operate software such as Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign and, I have an in-depth knowledge on how each tools fuction. I learned the usage of these software through experimenting, guidance from my teachers and YouTube tutorials. I consider myself to be a very hardworking, punctual, dedicated to my work. For this very reason, I continue to hone my skills in graphic designing and always work very diligently with different software.

Throughout my journey of being a graphic designer, I learned that each design comes from process over process until a person feels content with the design. I learned the importance of process work and how it is critical for design. Process shows the transition from one idea to another idea and then another until you have a final idea ready to go. I am glad to be a graphic designer who puts in full effort into producing results while making sure that every aspect of design is being followed with complete precision.

My mission is to be a kind of designer who can inspire people and challenge myself everyday in order to learn and grow from any obstacles and hardship into becoming a successful designer.

WHAT INSPIRED ME to Design?

I was inspired by my younger self who enjoyed playing with colours and experimenting with new things. As a kid, I always loved experimenting with new tools like technical software, web browsing and playing creative games. At that time, My most favourite and used software would be “Paint” on an old PC. Since then, my hobby would always be to go on the paint software and start playing with different colours and shades. I would also draw or trace figures and landscapes using paintbrush. I remember how much fun I would always have working with colours and always learning new things. I have been into computer since I was little and I remember always downloading creative software for fun. When I first discovered adobe softwares, I started experimenting with photoshop and really enjoyed learning what tools I can use and their purposes. Later, I got introduced to different softwares like Illustrator and InDesign. My interest in designing grew little by little and started to discover all there is to know about design and what it means to be a designer.
